Chronic Cluster Headaches Are A Nightmare To Live With
Sufferers from chronic cluster headaches are some of the most unfortunate human beings on the planet. Cluster headaches, one of the most painful experiences a human being can live through, are extremely debilitating. It’s impossible for a person to function at all during an attack; all they can think about is the horrible, blinding pain and praying it will go away. This intense pain can last for well over an hour, and it often comes on right after falling asleep, which causes insomnia to be one of the most common problems victims of chronic cluster headaches have to deal with, on top of their headaches. Because they know that attacks are very likely after drifting off, they become filled with dread at the thought of going to bed and falling asleep.
People who suffer from the chronic form of cluster headaches usually have trouble living a full and active life. In fact, in the most extreme cases, even holding down a job becomes impossible. The painful attacks are so frequent that they can’t even manage much of a life, let alone showing up for work every day and contributing as a productive employee. When it feels like a sharp knife is being driven into one of your eyes and deep into your brain, it’s understandably pretty hard to concentrate on anything else.
Chronic cluster headaches are a terrible, awful burden to have to live with. There’s another form of these headaches, known as episodic, which are bad enough, but at least the victim can enjoy some period of relief between cluster periods, often for weeks or months at a time. But the person who has the chronic form has to deal with the pain constantly, day in and day out. There’s no respite whatsoever, and many of them can suffer several attacks each day. Having to live with chronic cluster headaches is truly one of the worst things that can ever happen to anyone.
