Getting rid of cluster headaches
Anyone that suffers from cluster headaches will know how terrible they are and that you would do almost anything to get rid of them. You will take all the medications the doctors prescribe, as well as every pain medication you can get over the counter. If you life with someone who has them, you know how hard it is for that person, as well as for you to live through the horrifying attacks day after day and you pray that someone offers a solution for this condition. And well, there is and it’s called ‘water treatment’. Let’s talk more about it.
First of all I want to let you know that I am not a doctor nor a nurse and that I don’t have any medical background. I only have experience with this condition because my husband has it. If you should try this treatment to get rid of your cluster headaches, you should consult your health care provider before doing so.
Well, now we have that out of the way, let’s talk ‘water treatment‘. First of all, is is very simple, yet tough to accomplish. If you are having cluster attacks in this period, you should drink a glass of water every half hour (or at least every hour) during your day. I know, I know, it’s hard to drink that much of water, but remember: the more, the better. If you wake up in the middle of the night with a cluster headache attack, drink another couple of glasses.
The secret lies in drinking enough water and sticking with it for a few days. Your bathroom will be your new best friend, but hey, if it stops your attacks, who cares? Ludo, my husband, tried it with his last cycle and after a few days the number of attacks were reduced. It didn’t end his cycle earlier, but he went from 8 attacks a day, to 4 attacks. After his cycle ended he drinks more water during the day, so I hope the next one will stay away. Everytime he feels like he would get a headache (even a normal one) he drinks a couple of glasses and until now he is in remission.
I want to make sure that you understand that this treatment doesn’t work for everyone, but it doesn’t hurt to try it. I would recommend to take a multivitamin during this ‘treatment’ so you don’t wash out everything you need.
Getting rid of cluster headaches might seem impossible, but maybe there is a treatment for you. Look for them all around, you might find them faster than you think.

Oxygen is the key for me although you will need to find a source. Then carry it everywhere you go. After dealing with cluster headaches for going on four years and then finding releaf with oxygen and imetrex (chop 100mg pills into eighths to rationand use with O2 if bad) you will not go anywhere without the bottle.
